Our training practices generally follow an attention-based model that utilizes various tools — such as leashes, toys, food, and collars, including the Sit Means Sit Collar — to help your dog achieve attention to commands in potentially distracting situations. All of our training takes place in safe, supportive environments that utilize positive reinforcement to help your dog build confidence and thrive in a diversity of situations while still following obedience commands.

What Types of Training Classes Do You Offer?

Sit Means Sit offers a variety of training options to help dogs (and their owners) learn in situations that work for them, although services can vary by location. Sit Means Sit Philadelphia’s specific training options include:

• Day training (drop-off & pick-up)
• Puppy training classes
• Board & train
• Group training (must complete individual training first)
• Private dog training

In addition, our therapy dog training can start your dog along the path to achieving successful certification, although we do not currently offer full certification as part of our services.

The collar is an excellent tool to use when working to help a dog focus and achieve off-leash control.
